Dalia Matarama Llorens, was born in the November 6th of 1965, in Habana, Cuba. Her parents, Miguel, Internal Medicine Doctor, and her mother Dalia, Auxiliary Nurse had a boy and a girl, Miguel Jr. and Dalia Jr. Her hobbies as a child was singing and acting at her school and in different activities in her neighborhood. Dalia (Jr.), at eleven, was sent to a boarding school. When Dalia was sixteen and attended high school, she fell in love and married with Jorge Carlos Nevarez O'campo. He was half Mexican and half Spanish and was 23 years old at the time. In 1982, Dalia moved to his city of residence, Mexico City, Mexico. Her mother-in-law baptized her and made her a Catholic. At age 18, Dalia had her first child, Jorge Lester in 1984. In 1987, Dalia decided to come to live in Miami and has been living here since then. A year later, after working as a waitress, hostess and security guard, she decided to start singing. She met a family of music, Gustavo Díaz Sr., Gustavo Díaz Jr. and Eduardo Díaz. They were pianists and singers. With them, she had her first chance to sing with them in restaurants and on television shows. Dalia had three more beautiful children, María, Gilbert and Michael. Dalia retired from music for eight long years to devote herself to her family. Dalia resumed her studies at MDC. She learned English and graduated from high school in 2011. She acquired her Associate in Arts from MDC in the year 2018 and now, she is studying her degree in interpretation of musical voice at Barry University
Dalia's dream is to have a doctorate in music. She also wants to learn English very well, composition, guitar, piano, theater and dance, to have more opportunities in her career and passion, music. Her son, Jorge, graduated as a Cardiovascular Technician, María is a Beautician, Gilbert as a Paralegal, and Michael graduated as a Chef from Johnson and Walles University lives here in USA. During the years 2000 till 2012, Dalia start working on cruise ships, such as Royal Caribbean, Radisson Seven Cruise Lines and Discovery Cruise Lines, with 3, 4- and 5-month contracts, even two years. Dalia also established her own business, Dalia Live Music and Entertainment, to perform at private parties, birthdays, weddings, television, radio and television programs. Dalia has been altering and combining very well her school, the role of mother and grandmother, her faith and her participation in charitable activities. On weekends, she sings in churches and helps as a volunteer at the Mother Teresa shelter in Calcutta, giving food to more than 800 homeless and poor people daily. She also, created a Foundation, "Justice for the Peace Foundation", where she helps people according to available funds. Dalia's life has been difficult and very sacrificed. However, she found God in prayer and has been built her through faith, which is her strength and hope. She tries to be the best she can do for the good of souls and for her own sanctification. She wants to be a light in the dark for those who need it. She is a simple person; she has never forgotten where she came from and where she is going after this life.
