Dalia Matarama Llorens, Soprano
Dalia Matarama Llorens, soprano, has traveled a varied and successful path in her musical career. She was born on November 6, 1965 in Havana, Cuba. Her parents were both in the medical field, so they instilled in Dalia the need for self-determination and hard work to achieve her goals. Her hobbies, since she was little, were singing and acting both at school and in her neighborhood. At age eleven, she was sent to boarding school where she continued her love of music. She married very young and had a son, so they decided to leave Cuba and move to Mexico City, near her husband’s family. In 1987 she moved to Miami and lived there until recently.
While in Miami, after working as a waitress, hostess and security guard, she met the Díaz family, who gave her her first opportunities to sing professionally. She loved acting but her family was growing, so she made the decision to stop acting and she dedicated the next eight years to taking care of her family.
During the years 2000 to 2012, Ella Dalia began singing on cruise ships, such as Lineas Maritimes, Royal Caribbean, Radisson Seven Cruise Lines and Discovery Cruise Lines. She also developed her own successful business, Dalia Live Music Entertainment, to entertain at private parties, birthdays and weddings.
Dalia loves to learn, so she entered Miami Dade College and earned her Associate of Arts degree in 2018. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Barry University (Miami, Florida) in 2021. Dalia’s dream is to obtain a master’s degree and a doctorate in music. .
Currently, she is very excited to write and produce her own songs. So far she has composed three pieces: “Cuba Bella”, “Vencedores En El Señor” and “Salva Nuestros Hijos Señor”. She is delighted to collaborate with the Aclamad Music record label and its music producer, Juan Diego Santana. from Colombia and she has also written her first book, titled “The History of my Artistic Career.”
Dalia is a deeply religious person and her faith can be seen in the pieces she composes and in her participation in charitable activities throughout the year. She also created a foundation, “Justice for Peace Foundation”, where she helps people according to their needs and available funds. Dalia’s life has been difficult and with many sacrifices. However, she discovered God in prayer and has built herself through faith, which is her strength and hope. She tries to be the best she can for the good of souls and for her own sanctification. She wants to be light in the darkness for everyone who knows her or needs her.
